DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — Danville first responders spent Sunday evening at a home along Larchmont Way after a vehicle crashed into the garage.
The Danville Fire Department says crews responded to a vehicle crash at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 2 after a vehicle struck a house at 128 Larchmont Way.
When units arrived on scene, they not only found the vehicle crashed into the front of a garage, but they assessed the structure and determined that the wall between the garage doors had been compromised, according to fire officials.
Afterward, the department’s technical rescue team responded to the scene, built shoring, installed them to stabilize the structure, and managed to remove the vehicle.
According to the department, the residence was deemed safe for the occupants to stay there instead of being displaced. In addition, there were no reports of injuries following this crash.
Units were reportedly at the scene for approximately an hour and a half.
At this time, there is no word on what caused the vehicle to crash into the house.
